Home Page Wollaton Park Golf Club, Nottingham's premier golf club, is truly regarded by many as "One of the Gems of Midland Golf". Set in over 500 acres of the magnificent Wollaton Park, the course, which is overlooked by the imposing 16th century Wollaton Hall, is traditionally parkland in character. It is pleasantly undulating and winds its way through historic woodland which incorporates many fine specimens of trees. The course itself, which has hosted many important championships, the latest being one of the popular Seniors Tour events, was set out in 1927 and was designed by Tom Williamson. It has been sensibly upgraded over the years to provide a fair test of ability for both the beginner and the experienced golfer alike, measuring 6,445 yards with a par and standard scratch of 71.
The Clubhouse viewed from the 1st tee A "12-pointer" stag Wollaton Park Golf Club welcomes golf societies and corporate golf days (see Societies). Packages are available to suit societies of all sizes with some outstanding discounts available for parties of 30 or more. With the course being on sandstone it drains exceptionally well which makes it an ideal venue for winter golf, there is never any need for mats on tees with temporary greens in use very, very rarely during the winter months. The Club has two practice areas and a nine-hole pitch and putt area which are all readily available to members and green fee payers only. Tuition, golf clinics and video teaching are all available from our professional, John Lower and his staff. John, a Past Captain of the Midlands PGA, is a much sought after teaching professional by golfers of all standards and is currently Captain of the Notts PGA.

The park and woodland is a shelter for a wide range of wildlife which includes the two famous herds of red and fallow deer which quietly graze as you progress around the course.
